Looking your very best can often feel like a full-time job, remaining dedicated to a routine that is time-consuming and costly too. Here at ISIC New Zealand, we can at least help by keeping your bank account looking happy and healthy in the long-term with some savings choices across both islands.
1) Update your email subscriptions
Perhaps you're thinking your emails are already at full capacity. Why not unsubscribe from those newsletters you signed up for 10 years ago that you're no longer interested in and update it with health and beauty brands that you're interested in now. You would be surprised how positive a process this can be for de-cluttering your life. Newsletters tend to be the most powerful source of promotion for brands so you will often find their best offers and deals there. It's absolutely up to you though to open these emails. They will just have to hook you in with an offer you can't refuse. It's a win-win situation for all involved! Look no further than Unichem and Life Pharmacy for the largest range of health products, and Beauty Bliss for beauty products across New Zealand.
2) Try your luck with free samples
If you never ask, you'll never know. You can apply this thought to many situations, some of which I wish I had done earlier in my life, however it certainly applies when out and about in search of new health and beauty products. Always worth a go in the chain stores and especially the big department stores, it's often better to 'try before you buy'. If only that idea could be used for other purchases and investments as well...
3) Look out for health & beauty services at student prices
The next generation of hairdressers and beauty professionals are currently coming through some of New Zealand's finest educational establishments. While they're being trained and supervised by their qualified instructors, in order for them to get some real world experience before they enter the workforce, they offer many beauty and hair appointments throughout the week for a fraction of what you would pay in your local high street boutique. It's a win-win situation for all involved. The students get their real world training and you get a treatment at a bargain basement price! Simply google your local polytechnic and after some research you should eventually find their health and beauty services.
